MOELLER V LAKEWOOD ST. EDWARDS

Moeller faces what will easily be the toughest team they have faced so far this year in the Lakewood St. Edwards Eagles. St. Eds is 7-0 coming into the game, and as of last week was ranked 5th in the state. Once again it will depend on which Moeller team shows up, the one that has been dominant in 6 of 8 games this year or the error/turnover prone team that lost to Findlay and LaSalle. Most don't give Big Moe a chance in this game, I'd say they would be favored if they had played more consistent ball throughout the year. It'll likely be a close game, and hopefully the Crusaders can play a whole game and secure a playoff spot.

Big game tonight. From what I've been reading on the message boards, many St. Ed's fans believe they are going to roll tonight by at least 3 touchdowns. Let's hope the football Eagles believe the same thing. As I've said, Moeller can play with the best teams in the state, it just depends on which Crusader team shows up.

Just found out that Pat Redwine quit the team a couple of days ago due to an argument with the coaches. I don't know the whole story, but with 2 regular season games to go and the playoffs beyond, you don't just quit like that. Even if you have issues with the coaches, you don't quit on your friends you have played with for 4 years. I've wondered in the past why Redwine wasn't put back in at QB when his backup went down. Now I know.
