MOELLER V LASALLE (GCL)

At the beginning of the season, I was concerned about a select few games on the schedule. The usually tough Elder and St. X games, Lakewood St. Edwards, CovCath, and Henderson County, KY. I am now less concerned about the Elder game than the LaSalle game. Last week, the Lancers didn't just beat Elder, they made a statment. They could have folded early, falling behind 7-13, but came back to win 40-20. They have a poise similar to that of the late 80s Elder squads also coached by Grippa. This was also their first win over Elder since 1992. Moeller looked particularly strong in a 47-7 win over 5-0 KY big school Henderson County. The good news is they shouldn't be overlooking a very talented and well coached Lancer squad this week.
